EcoBallast is a newly developed, environmentally friendly antifreeze with a sophisticated corrosion inhibition system created by Novamen Inc. The material is non-toxic, non-hazardous and non-corrosive. Our antifreeze has been freeze tested for stability, and the fluid retains the ability to be easily pumped, even at -40º Celsius. EcoBallast can easily replace any glycol or salt based tire ballast fluids for heavy equipment tire ballast applications. The base is far less corrosive to metal than calcium chloride and much more cost effective than propylene glycol. It is also heavier than Propylene Glycol, with a specific gravity of 1.16 compared to 1.01 for diluted PG.
