Heat Transfer Fluid
NovaFrost is a clear, practically ordourless liquid with a thick consistency. It is hygroscopic (attracts water), has low toxicity and outstanding stability, low vapour pressure and broad solvency.
NovaFrost lowers the freezing point and increases the boiling/flash point of water. These properties make NovaFrost ideal for a wide array of applications, such as:
- Heat Transfer Fluids
- Hydraulic Fluids
- Solvents
- Antifreeze
- Coolants
- Deicing Fluids
NovaFrost is a premium Propylene Glycol Heat Transfer Fluid (HTF) for stationary engines found in natural gas compression, power generation and other heavy machinery. NovaFrost is blended with a phosphate and nitrite inhibitor package to provide superior protection against cavitation erosion, liner pitting and scale formation and is buffered to keep the reserve alkalinity at acceptable levels.
NovaFrost is suitable for all stationary engines, including Caterpillar, Waukesha, and White Superior. The chemistry employed will effectively protect your industrial engines constructed of single or mixed alloys. The industrial corrosion control inhibitors included have been specially formulated to extend the service life of the coolant. Because of this, you will receive a higher level of reserve alkalinity, superior performance, and fewer maintenance requirements through re-inhibiting. These attributes improve your bottom line.
Quality Assurance Program
Our NovaFrost Quality Assurance Program provides glycol sample analysis and recommendations at no charge to ensure optimal performance. NovaFrost can be purchased in its concentrated form or pre-blended with deionized water to meet your specification for boiling, freeze and/or burst protection. NovaFrost is compatible with NORKOOL and would be equivalent to DOWFROST HD, JEFFCOOL P-150 and other industrial propylene glycol based coolants for stationary engines.
NovaFrost is used frequently as a substitute for ethylene glycol, where low toxicity and environmentally sensitive products are required.
